Hi Everyone! Please excuse the mess, I'm currently working on the new Tweedle Dee Designs website, I finally moved over to Wordpress! I know, I know, way behind the blog train. It's been quiet around here for some time, but I'm so excited to share what I've been up to lately so here's a little peek.
The Tweedle Dee Designs Etsy Shop is open and I'm adding new things and old favorites, so you can still enjoy our Printable Party Products!
Here's one of my latest projects. I love too many crafty things, so I combined two of my favorites into this adorable little clutch!
Minnie has been such a big help, she keeps me company all day and lets me know when it's time to take a break and throw her ball around, her favorite thing.
My sweet niece Izzy turned one in February and we had a great Mermaid & Pirate party in Seattle.
My friends Sonia and Mike got married and asked me to make the cupcakes for their wedding. I was so excited to be able to do this for them and they turned out amazing! This cupcake post will be featured on the Oh Sweet! Bakery blog
One of my favorite cupcakes are Party Cakes, you know, the kind with the sprinkles inside. Since the 4th of July is next week I thought these would be the perfect cupcakes to celebrate!
Start out by making your favorite vanilla cupcake recipe. When you're done mixing the batter and before you put them in the oven stir in 2 tablespoons of your favorite color jimmies. I used 1 tablespoon of red and 1 tablespoons of blue.
I topped these cupcakes with my Very Vanilla Buttercream, finished with more red and blue jimmies and some fun and very glittery patriotic flags I made!
You can make these fun flags by cutting out strips of red, silver and blue glitter paper, found at your local craft store, a little bit of craft glue and a 6" skewer.
I absolutely love Sprinkles Cupcakes and was excited to try their cupcake mix at home. Mixes are available in several delicious flavors and included their signature fondant decoration. I decided to go with the dark chocolate and was not disappointed.
The cupcakes were moist and delicious, just like from your local Sprinkles Bakery and their Chocolate Buttercream recipe was to die for. Although the mixes were more on the expensive side, $14 each, they're well worth it for a special treat. You can find the Sprinkles Cupcake Mixes at Williams-Sonoma.
I love the signature fondant dots on each Sprinkles Cupcake, so I designed some free mini notecards inspired by this adorable cupcake icon!
